The Grand Rapids Thunder is a minor professional football team based on the concept of helping area athletes get to the next level of competition. Our organization also looks to be involved in our community by providing training camps and assisting in special community activities.
With an impressive 89-30 record since its inception in 2003, the Thunder posted a 14-5 record and won the Mid-State Tournament Championship in the 2009 season. Thunder fans have seen their team win four Divisional championships and make two bids for the title in league championship play in both the MLFA and USFA.
The Grand Rapids Thunder is fully committed to building and fostering integrity, character, discipline, and commitment. Adopting its mantra of “Excellence continues where tradition began”, the Thunder staff and team are dedicated to each other and the community. Each player and staff member lives by a code of ethics that promotes core values and community involvement.
